The oil sump plate comes complete with a metric M12x1.75 magnetic drain plug and washer. This sump plate will fit any Porsche 356 A, B, C or 912 car with a standard non 4 cam engine. The plate is CNC Milled from 6061 Aluminum and designed to fasten to your engine with no grinding or modifications required. Never again will you have to drop your sump plate to get the last bit of oil out of your engine during an oil change, the aluminum sump plate is designed to drain all of your oil completely with minimum effort. The M12x1.75 drain plug is a relatively common size of plug allowing you to source a new one locally if you happen to loose one during an oil change. The cooling fins on the sump plate are designed to improve oil cooling while closely matching the engine case cooling fins. The sump plate is available in "As Machined", or in "Sand Cast" surface finish. Please specify at the time of order your desired surface finish, or the item shipped will be "As Machined".

** Please note, some people have discovered the stock engine sump studs are not long enough when using the strainer and both gaskets with an aluminum sump plate. This may or may not be the case with your engine. To check if this may be the case for your engine, with the stock sump plate installed on your engine, verify that you have 5mm of extra threads protruding past the nuts that hold your stock sump plate to the engine. If they are not protruding you may either purchase longer studs, or install your custom sump plate with one gasket and no strainer.
